On November 2008 the dream of a Panamanian family became a reality when three healthy babies are born: two girls and one boy who are compatible with the older little brother who is suffering from sickle cell-beta thalasemia, and so be able to give him a better quality of life. 

These babies were the product of treatments of Assisted Reproduction and Preimplantation of Genetic Diagnosis, performed by the medical and scientific personnel of the Reproduction and Genetic Center of Punta Pacifica of Panama.  The embryos that were transferred were compatible to be able to carry out in the future, a donation whether it is from bone marrow or from stem cells of the umbilical cord. 

The Reproduction Center Punta Pacifica today has the highest technology to offer the best option to couples who have a genetic or infertility problem and to assure them a healthy baby.
